Characteristic	Dorsal fin with XII spines and 10 soft rays; anal fin with III spines and 5 soft rays. Body reddish; scattered with irregular pale blotches and some black dots; a large black patch at the posterior part of dorsal fin from 7th to 10th spines. Mouth oblique; upper jaw reaching below posterior margin of eye. A dermal flap present on pectoral fin axil.
habitats	Inhabits demersal marine environment. This species had been identified as S. izensis. Other ecological behaviour is unclear yet.
